Unfortunately, 2020 has been a very trying and challenging year for all of us, and the same is true for 343 Industries. On August 11, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. PDT, the official Halo Twitter account announced a heartbreaking change of plans for Halo Infinite.
Although most likely for the best in the long run, Halo Infinite will no longer release in 2020. With a new target of 2021, the team will continue to develop the game until sometime next year. We do not yet know exactly when it will release in 2021, and we likely will not know until we get there. Unfortunately, we may not see as much in the way of Halo Infinite news over the next few months, but there is hope that the extra development time will allow for 343 Industries to implement their flighting program after all.
